So I modded my SD-1 — changed the clipping stage around and swapped some part values — and when I put it back together and plugged it in, I got no sound at all. Not a ‘slight soft hum,’ absolutely no voltage output whatsoever. After checking continuity at all the joints I redid, I took a closer look and noticed that I had ripped the solder pad off of the former location of a resistor.
Above is going to be my desperate attempt to repair this dumb problem. Fuckers. Through hole plating forever.
